We did not have a fancy name like the Blue Knights In 1954, just the KAFB D&B Corps. We had to play for school student shift change at noon every weekday. The advantage was getting excused from any student details. I recall the best times we had was marching in the Mardi Gras parades and then given a 3 day pass to stay in N.O. They even allowed the USAF buses to wait for us for the 3 days as the Bus Drivers had 3 day passes also.
One of my A.F. base assignments was Ramstein AB in Germany where I wangled a slot in the Ramstein AB D&B corps. We traveled all over Western Europe. It sure brought back memories when I saw this web page.
