started on tenor drum with my first parade being
the Mardi Gras in New Orleans. I believe
it was 13 miles. Seems like it was 5 drums
across.
Gary
Fox taught me my rudiments and I was playing
tri-toms before I left. I think I was
probably the smallest guy to march with those.
 Favorite
memories include: marching in the New Orleans
Mardi Gras parade, playing the tri-toms
(smallest guy ever, I think), improv jams,
eating banana splits after marching, eating
pizza, swimming and picnicing down on a
river. Practicing rudiments with Gary
Fox.
 I also went on a trip with Gary Morris for a 3 day week-end. Great times and best shape I was ever in.    |
