I was assigned to the Blue Knights from March 1970 – Feb 1971 and was a
French Horn and Asst.
Drum Major member and I still have my ropes !!! My SSC was Flight Facilities Equip
Repairman 304x1.
In Dec 1970 where
sadly I was removed from the Blue Knights
when I requested to be reassigned from the
fundamentals self pace program to the regular
fundamentals classes...BUT... hind sight proved
that this was a good career move.
During my time with the
Blue Knights I did various local parades &
retirements and even participated in the
commissioning of a submarine.. that I later worked
on while working in the Portsmouth N.H. Naval
Shipyard.
I enlisted in the A.F. in Jan
1970 and got out from PeaseAFB in Feb of 1974, my
SSC was "Flight
Facilities Equip Repairman"(304x1). I
was a "one termer" and got out of the AF in
1974. In January of 2009 I retired
from the Federal Aviation Administration as a Air
Traffic Systems Specialist of 28 years.
I am (passing on) a
roster for when I was in the Corps...it dates around Aug
of 1970 from a TDY order... I am not certain of its
entire current accuracy,but it lists the Corps roster.
